We are 10!!!

Time flies. Still remember the first few months and years when we were trying to get Mochi & Jolie started from ground zero, and hustling between all the trade shows, factories, warehouses and stores. And now look at us! We have reached 10 years milestone. It has been such an incredible journey and we treasure every single moment of it! Through lots of ups and downs, we have grown and matured, not just as a company, but also as a community. We want to say "THANK YOU" to every single one of you for continuing loving and supporting us along the way. Without you, we won't be here today. So, THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts.

Pet Lovers Week (9.16 - 9.22)

By now if you still do not know yet, Mochi & Jolie® is named after two small fluffy white dogs. And we call them Boss Mochi and Boss Jolie. They are the inspiration of this company and they have worked really hard since we started. They were the fitting models for our new apparels, the brand ambassadors at the trade shows, the walking and posing models for all the events...and till this day, they remain the office cheer squad and official greeters.

Over the years, Boss Mochi and Jolie have built quite a lot friendships of their own. Whether they met in person or from the internet, they are calling them "friends". Here are just a small bunch:

So now you know, we are a bunch of passionate pet lovers. We love our four legged companions and call them our "babies with fur". And that is also the reason you have seen many of our products are uniquely designed for the fur babies and the pet lovers, like ourselves, and they even have their own branded lines: MoMo™ and JoJo™. It is always joyful to design and produce a product for this community, because our hearts are filled with love, gratitude and happiness.

To share our love for the fur babies with all the pet lovers out there, we decided to launch our annual "Pet Lovers Week" event. Introducing M Fusion and our first design collaboration

Today we celebrate the launch of our M Fusion Collection. With the intention of designing fresh, meaningful pieces and playing with all different kind of materials, M Fusion was born. We begin the new journey with something very special and exquisite, coming all the way from Copenhagen, Hannah Brown & Heidi Grey Leather Bracelets - our very first design collaboration with a talented Jewelry designer, Anja Dige.

Anja developed her skills and creativity in Milan, where she studied fashion and design. After having explored the Italian fashion industry, she went back to Denmark and turned her focus to jewelry. Inspired by nature, flower gardens and the beauty of the ocean, she creates jewelry for women of all ages with passion for Scandinavian design and great quality.

Hello, Frankfurt!

This early year, we stepped out our comfort zone, wrapped up our jewels and watches and headed to Frankfurt, Germany. We finally had our very first international trade show - Ambiente 2015, the biggest show in Europe. It was a long 5 days show in a giant venture - Messe Frankfurt and we met so many new and friendly European business people and friends there. It was a great experience for us, not only we have learned so much about the differences of how people doing business in Europe, but also collected first hand valuable information for our brand to grow in that continent.
Frankfurt is a beautiful city, mixed with tradition and modern life style. Germans are friendly and warm, and taxis are always so spotlessly clean, not to mention, most of them are Mercedes-Benz. Needless to say, Frankfurt left us a beautiful impression. Will be back and see you again soon, Frankfurt! :)

The Watch Collection display captures people's attention right away.

This year at the show, USA happened to be the partner country. Every year, there is a different partner country and many different programs and events are based on showcasing and introducing the partner country.

The beautiful Le Meridien Park Hotel we stayed while we were in Frankfurt. Central location, great service and only minutes away from the Central Station, very convenient. Highly recommended.

Our time in Frankfurt for leisure was very limited. But we still managed to stopped a few local attractions. Here is Römer, a nowaday city hall complex. The actual ‘Römer’, however, is only the middle one of three houses with its characteristic stepped gables. It has served as a town and city hall since 1405.

The Cathedral (Dom) - Its beginnings date back to the year 852. Ten emperors were crowned here between 1562 and 1792.

The insanely cute Westie is one of the most popular small terriers among pet owners. Standing 10 to 11 inches at the shoulder, with dark piercing eyes, compact body, and an adorable carrot-shaped tail wagging with delight, the Westie’s looks are irresistible. Beneath the plush-toy exterior, though, beats the heart of true working terrier. Bred to hunt rats and other furry critters, Westies are surprisingly strong and tough. The all-white coat should be hard to the touch, never soft and fluffy.

Elegant. Proud. Clever. Poodles are impressive dogs. Behind the blue ribbons, impressive hairdos, and regal attitude, you will find an affectionate family dog with an ancient history and many talents. No matter the size, Poodles are renowned for a playful but dignified personality and keen intelligence.

Its name (pronounced BEE-shon Free-ZAY) is French for “fluffy white dog,” which is a very accurate way to describe these 10- to 20-pound four-legged cotton balls. Bred to be hypoallergenic, their white, curly coats rarely shed. This breed is easily trained and carries a charismatic, cheerful, and curious disposition. And their history of being pampered by French royalty makes them tolerant of being adorned in bows and bling, should you feel the urge.

These energetic, athletic, fearless, intelligent, stubborn and vocal Jack Russell Terriers have appeared many times in film, television and print with several historical dogs of note. Among them, Uggie is an animal actor, appearing in commercials starting in 2005 and most notably cast in Water for Elephants and The Artist, both in 2011. In the same year, based on interest following The Artist, the "Consider Uggie" campaign was launched, which attempted to gain the dog a nomination for an Academy Award. In 2012 Uggie was named Nintendo's first-ever spokesdog.

"Dog people" and "Cat people" really do have different personalities, according to a new study. People who said they were dog lovers in the study tended to be more lively -- meaning they were more energetic and outgoing -- and also tended to follow rules closely. Cat lovers, on the other hand, were more introverted, more open-minded and more sensitive than dog lovers. Cat people also tended to be non-conformists, preferring to be expedient rather than follow the rules.

The name "Schnauzer" comes from the German word for "snout", because of the dog's distinctively bearded snout. They also have those long, feathery eyebrows. Friendly and loving, schnauzers become part of their families. They are protective and energetic, and will alert members of the household to any potential danger.

Go on, try to resist that face. We double dog dare you. Those big, dreamy eyes, that sweetie-pie expression, those long, lush ears that practically demand to be touched—no wonder the Cocker has been America’s most popular breed many times during its long history. The Cocker is the AKC’s smallest sporting spaniel, standing about 14 to 15 inches at the shoulder. The coat comes in enough colors and patterns to please any taste. The body is strong and solid, with smooth, easy movement.

Don’t let the Yorkie’s tiny size and fancy appearance fool you. Often named the most popular dog breed of New York City, this dog has a Big Apple attitude in a tiny package. Yorkies have a confident and courageous personality that helps them do well at everything from dog sports to therapy work and makes them great travel companions. But after a rough-and-tumble day, there’s nothing a Yorkie enjoys more than a quiet evening spent snoozing on the lap of his owner.

26 Days of Mochi & Jolie - Day 18

The Pomeranian is a cocky, animated companion with an extroverted personality. These tiny dogs are extremely loyal to their owners, making them great watchdogs, playmates, and cuddly companions. They come in almost two dozen colors and various patterns and markings, but are most commonly seen in orange or red. Their puffy, “pom-pom” coat makes them appear larger than the 3 to 7 pounds they normally weigh, and their foxlike face exudes confidence.

Even people with zero dog knowledge know a Great Dane when they see one. Standing as high as 32 inches at the shoulder, Danes tower over most other dogs—and when standing on their hind legs, they’re taller than many people. Giant-sized and immensely strong, Danes nevertheless are the picture of elegance and balance, with the smooth and easy stride of born noblemen. The coat comes in different colors and patterns, perhaps the best-known being the black-and-white patchwork pattern known as “harlequin.”

26 Days of Mochi & Jolie - Day 16

This densely coated, compact sledder of medium size and great endurance was bred to work in packs, carrying light loads at moderate speeds over vast expanses of frozen wasteland. Their almond-shaped eyes can be either brown or blue—sometimes one of each—and convey a keen but amiable and even mischievious expression. Quick and nimble-footed, Huskys are known for their powerful but seemingly effortless gait.

Corgis are very active and energetic. They have a strong desire to please and should receive both physical and mental exercise regularly. Outside Wales, corgis have been made popular by Queen Elizabeth II  who has at least four in her retinue at all times. Her first corgi was called Susan. She currently keeps two corgis and two Dorgis (corgi/dachshund cross). Some portraits of Queen Elizabeth II include a corgi.

A well-conditioned Boxer is an awesome sight. A male can stand as high as 25 inches at the shoulder, females a little shorter. Their muscles ripple beneath their short, tight-fitting coat. The dark brown eyes and wrinkled forehead give the face an alert, curious look. Boxers move like the athletes they’re named for: smooth and graceful, but powerful.
