A brand new year, 2012 is fast approaching. Looking back in year of 2011, we were crazy busy doing the stuffs that we love -- design and create the products that will be loved by all the little pups, and most importantly, connect with all of our little stars. Everytime when we see their cute faces in those adorable pictures, we smile. And we smile A LOT. :)

These are only just a small portion of all the photos we received during the year, but every single one of them is making a mark on the growth of this company and becoming a part of Mochi & Jolie family. We want to wish all of our little stars shining brightly and beautifully for the coming new year and we woof you all!!!

Mochi & Jolie's 2012 Desk Calendar

Mochi & Jolie's first ever desk calendar for the year of 2012 is finally here! It is so adorable and beautifully done!

The proceeds of this calendar is going to be donated to dog rescue groups at the end of year. This desk calendar is small enough to put on your desk or give out as a beautiful new year gift, but big enough to contain all our hearts, love and care for all the homeless pets out there. This is a way we, Mochi & Jolie, want to bring some comfortness and hope to those less fortunated animals who are not deserving this type of life. Please join us around this time of the year, sharing your love and care!! We THANK YOU!!! 

We also want to THANK YOU everyone who participated in this calendar project. We LOVE all the submitted photos and have decided to make our own calendar every year from now on. Super Zoo 2011 -- Las Vegas

It is always good to visit Las Vegas once a while, especially in September, because that is when Super Zoo is on.

This year, Super Zoo was a sold out show. There were still companies on the waiting list trying to get a booth to exhibit. What a booming industry! Lots of people visited our booth, old friends, new faces, and felt like we barely had a moment stop talking for a while. Though the overall economy is still not fully recovered yet, but we noticed quite a few brand new boutique stores are opening everywhere. Those new store owners are young, ambitious, and full of fresh ideas. We love to see new blood come in and bring fresh concepts and ideas to this industry. And hopefully they will bring more great products and services to the customers and their pups! What a great show it was! Fun, exciting, and inspiring!

So long, Vegas, for now. We will be back next year this time again. Till then, enjoy life and stay well! 

London, Fashion Capital Of World

Fish and chips isn't the most fashion-friendly (read: low calorie) dish, the rainy weather wreaks havoc on fashionistas' high heels and Buckingham Palace is neither sleek nor stylish.

But London still managed to be named the world's fashion capital for 2011, thanks to two people you may have heard of: Kate Middleton and Alexander McQueen.

According to a survey by the Global Language Monitor, a company that analyze trends in word usage, London has overtaken New York City based on what impact the city had on fashion through the media.

Global Language Monitor tracked websites, blogs, Twitter and all sorts of other social media to see which country -- and its citizens-- were fashion's most important names.

Bekka Payack, the company's fashion correspondent, said, "We are seeing what the impact of two genuine media stars, Princess Catherine (the former Kate Middleton) and Alexander McQueen can have upon a global ranking. Our numbers show that it was their presence that tipped the victory to London over New York."

Don't need to tell us twice -- we spend way more time talking about Catherine than any old designer or fashion editor. For fashion, London -- or more specifically, Kensington Palace-- is where it's at.

Here's the rundown of the Top Ten, including what number position each city held last year (all commentary care of Global Language Monitor):

1. London (3) - Kate Middleton and Alexander McQueen help raise the City to No.1 status.

2. New York (1) - New York is strong but London has Kate. 'Nuff said.

3. Paris (4) - No. 1 in our hearts but No. 3 in the media.

4. Milan (6) - The Earth has returned to its proper orbit: The Big Four once again occupy the top four spots.

5. Los Angeles (5) - LA solidifying her hold on No. 5.

6. Hong Kong (2) -- Down from No. 2 but tops again in Asia.

7. Barcelona (10) - The Queen of the Iberian Peninsula. Once again.

8. Singapore (15) - Up seven spots and into the Top Ten.

9. Tokyo (14) - Third Asian city in the Top Ten.

10. Berlin (18) - Completes a long climb into elite status.

Just a Dog

From time to time, people tell me to lighten up…"it’s just a dog," or that's a lot of money for "just a dog." They don't understand the
distance traveled, the time spent, or the costs involved for "just a dog.” Some of my proudest moments have come about with “just
a dog.” Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a dog," but I did not once feel slighted. Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a dog" and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch of "just a dog" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day. If you too think it's "just a dog," then you probably understand phrases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or just a promise." "Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy. "Just a dog"

brings out the compassion and patience that make me a better person. Because of "just a dog" I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future. Special "Mochi & Jolie" 2012 Calendar to benefit animal rescue

Every year we are doing something special to support animal rescue. This year we are starting early -- we will be designing and producing a special "Mochi & Jolie 2012 Calendar". It will be sold worldwide. All the profits will be donated to animal rescue groups.

If your baby owns a piece of Mochi & Jolie, it is his/her chance to shine and help all the unfortunate others. Join us to make this world a better place with love and care!!

If you'd like to participate, here are the details:

1. Max. 3 photos per dog. No limits on how many dogs you want to enter per household. Afterall, there are only 12 months per year. :)

2. All the photos entered, your pup must be wearing a piece of "Mochi & Jolie", or "JoJo".

3. To ensure the high printing quality, you must have a high resolution of the photo you submit.

4. We prefer to have a very simple background, both indoor or outdoor will be fine.

5. Please post your entry photos on our wall with your baby's name, birthday and where he/she is currently living. (city and country).

6. Please also email a low res. version of your entry photos to: hello@mochiandjolie.com.

7. The deadline for all the entries is Aug. 31st, 2011.

8. If your photo is chosen, you are giving us all the permissions to enhance the image and use for the intended purposes.

California Gift Show (July 22 - 25, 2011)

This summer we attended our very first non-pet show: California Gift Show in Los Angeles. It is a very different experience for us and we have made many new friends. It is specially happy for us to see some familiar faces when we were there.

Since this is a non-pet show, buyers are from all kind of different fields. 7 out of 10 buyers walked into our booth and thought all these clothes are made for human babies and kids. When they were told these are for the pups, they all laughed and amazed. We took that as a compliment every time. :)

Mochi & Jolie's New Office

Yay! We have just moved into a new office. All the white walls, like a blank canvas waiting for an artist to start his creation. Slowly, piece by piece, we are happily decorating this creative and playful space. It is still an on-going project, but we'd love to share some of our progress with you. :)

Work Smart! - Time to stock some new office supplies!

Time to stock some new office supplies! And we haven't done so since the beginning of the year. Not only we want them to be practical, but also stylish too! So this Saturday, we took the "bosses" on a little trip to the Container Store since they are having a "Work Smart Office Sale" right now.

"Look, look! This way, this way! I want that! I want that!" The little boss/office supervisor, Mochi was all excited and ready to give us directions and do some serious shopping, and while Jolie was just cruising along as usual, "No treats, no toys?? This is not a store for me, that is for sure!" :)

The 2nd MoJo Top Dog Award -- Valentine 2011

The sweetest day of the year -- Valentine is around the corner. We, at Mochi & Jolie, celebrate this day with our beloved pups!!! They brought so much uncompromising pure love to us, we are the true lucky ones to have them in our life. Thank God for sending these angels down and we LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!! To honor this special day, we hosted our 2nd "MoJo Top Dog Award -- Valentine 2011" on our Facebook Club and the winners were voted by all our fans. We have received many beautiful and creative entries. All the contestants are super adorable! They brought so much fun and love this holiday.

In the end, the super special Miss Coco Puffz took the grand title and followed by Lily, Aolani and Rocky.

It is almost the end of year 2010. We had a super busy but very fruitful year -- designing new products, launching new label, going to trade shows, meeting new and old friends everywhere, and most importantly, getting know these precious baby boys and girls. They are our true little stars, tiny, shiny, beautiful stars. :)

MoJo Top Dog Award -- Halloween 2010

This year's Halloween has just past and we are still nibbling on the left over chocolate candies. Halloween always fills will fun, creativity, and great imaginations. This year is no difference, but better. Mochi & Jolie hosted the first "MoJo Top Dog Award -- Halloween 2010" on Facebook and the winner was voted by all our fans. All the contestants were amazingly brilliant and super cute. They truly highlighted the holiday and brought so many smiles to our faces. :)

In the end, the outrageously cute Maltese sisters Maggie and Abbie took the title by winning a close race over Westie Napoleon. Big Congratulation to Maggie and Abbie! And here are the Champion and all the Honorable Mentions:
